Bullish and Bearish Talk

Some slang comes from Wall Street and reflects the mood of the market – either bullish (optimistic) or bearish (cautious).

HODL – “Hold on for dear life.” What started as a typo became a rallying call not to sell.  Diamond Hands – Refusing to sell, no matter what happens. To The Moon – The hope of a crypto price shooting up like a rocket. 

Paper Hands – Panic selling at the first sign of trouble. The opposite of diamond hands. REKT – “Wrecked.” Taking a big financial hit from a bad trade. FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) – Negative rumors (true or not) that rattle people’s confidence.
